Jevon is an up-and-coming hip-hop prodigy from Houston, the city that has been invading radio airwaves and bringing great music from the South to the rest of the world. Unlike many artists from Texas delivering anthems about candy paint, platinum chains and strippers, Jevon puts an emphasis on conscious raps discussing life, love, struggle and proving to the world that the Lone Star State has more to offer than commercialized singles. Despite this, he is still no stranger to infectious songs such as his smash single “A Part of Nature” produced by Flawless Tracks (Wale) or his vividly dark “No1 Cares“
produced by Shane Eli.

Since bursting onto the scene in 2011, Jevon has been getting props and impressing hip-hop heads and creative minds alike, including Damon Jamal of In Yo’ Face Filmworks. Jamal is no stranger to rap music, shooting videos and working with mega stars like Kendrick Lamar, Too $hort and E-40. He was so captivated by Jevon’s music that he shot and edited the video for “Bonfire” which has received over 13,000 views on YouTube since being posted in November. Jevon and Jamal also recently finished shooting the video for “A Part of Nature” in Austin, Texas during the SXSW Music Festival and is currently editing the project.

Jevon released his debut mixtape, F.N.O (Failures No Option) in February 2012 via DatPiff and has since been scheduled to perform at several artist showcases and cyphers throughout Texas. With no intention of slowing down, Jevon is already hard at work on his next project with Toronto producer 5PIECE as well as contributing to projects for California’s Frost the Producer and North
Carolina’s JcBeatz.
